Call Me Four Eyes, I Dare You.

Glasses are the worst thing that could happen to a person. I swear. Who knew that a pair of lens attached to plastic rims and clingy sticks could cause so many issues. And on top of that, now that I can see clearly, I've realized how bad my skin is. AND EVERYONE ELSE'S. Seriously, I don't understand how we could invent the wheel, the computer, the portable USB drive... and then THIS. So, not only do I look like a dorky man, but I feel like there are at least 20 pounds resting on the slim bridge of my nose. Great. Really fantastic. But at least I can see clearly now. I see everything. Although I really shouldn't be looking at the sun too often...

What's your take on glasses? Is it similar to my love/ hate relationship?

Here's an Empty Seat, Cause I'm About To Do Some Stand-up Comedy

My peeps! How are you guys??! I haven't blogged in so long. I am deeply sorry for being so MIA! My life got busy so fast all of a sudden, but summer break is here and I have loads of stories to tell you all!

Recently, I've been trying to figure out how I'm going to make in on SNL. That's right! Me, on live T.V. So, while planning out how to I will live my ultimate, super-fantasy dream, I thought, WHY NOT BECOME A STAND-UP COMEDIAN?! Right?!! I mean, all of my friends think I'm funny...Well, most. Okay, some. But really, who are a few humorless, emotionless, robotic so called "friends", hmm? Plus, I've got you guys! Y'all are my bread and butter. My cup of chai. My curry and rice. Yummers. Curry. But I swear, that smell never gets outta my closet. For-reals. It's embarrassing. Here I go getting all sentimental again, gahhh.

Anyway, stand-up comedy! I am so excited about it! I did a couple gigs already and actually got some laughs. It was solemnly awesome. I think that is the best feeling in the world. When someone gets your joke and openly laughs out loud. A big, fat, caps-lock "L-O-L".

I'm thinking of working on my jokes this summer, but let me know about your plans! I miss hearing your voices. I will probably be road-tripping this summer, so loads of stories there! Please, I would love to hear your plans for this summer, though. Anything exotically exciting?

Mission Impossible 4 - Worth it? (Caution: This is NOT a Review)

BFFs (Check it out ---->), I need some help! So I've been contemplating to see the movie MI4. It's been on my mind for a while and I'm wondering what to do. I hear that the effects are good. But then there is always the fact that it is part of a series, so most probably the story will consist of fluff! While I love fluff in good action scenes, I wonder whether it is worth my money- or ice/cheddar as my homeboys, my rappers call it. Anyone seen the movie and would like to give me some much needed advice? Tom Cruise is pretty cool in the movie I've heard, although he is getting quite old, too. Why do all the good actors age?! This should be illegal. Also, I saw the trailer and I was thinking, "Could Mission Impossible get any cooler? I think not!!". Well, unless MI was filmed in Antarctica!

Help me, guys! I would appreciate your input.

Indian Music Review: This is how we do (Kolaveri Di- ALL THE RAGE)

Indian Music, as I'm sure many of you have heard of before (ahem* Bollywood), is leaking somewhat into the mainstream, such as Jay-Z's feature in the Punjabi song, Mundian to Bach ke by Panjabi MC. This song is in the new movie Dictator. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks hilarious! Anyway, there is this music fever that has taken over the Indian community, called Why This Kolaveri Di. When I say fever, I mean "Uh, I forgot to wear sunscreen cause the heat emanating is smokin'!" -type of fever. Oh man, so catchy! I highly recommend you listen to this song!  Here, I'll put up the link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR12Z8f1Dh8)

Anyway, I heard a remake of it in English! Oh man, this guy is classy. I really like his style; he has a decent voice and really makes sense of this Indian song. (I also secretly LOVE his hair! But that's another discussion.) So, the first time I heard this song, my face was like ---> :O . I heard it another hundred times and now, my face is more like ---> 8O . You have to see this video; he is extremely talented, in my opinion. Or, in anyone's opinion, really.  I mean, just look at him with his guitar! Oh man, this is kind of weird, but I'm wondering what his books are about. See the shelf in the background? Any ideas??

Let me know what you think of this song! And what other Indian songs or indian sounding songs do you like? One of my old favorites is Timbaland's Indian Flute. "I got my eyes on you-ou, Can't understand a word you're sayin'!"

Here is the English version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6gHlK-Mm2Y . I dare you to listen to it, and not like it.

A Tribute to FOBs

Is it me, or has it gotten a bit lonely in here? I haven't heard from you guys in ages! Tell me what you all have been upto lately. I've been waiting for Exam week to be over (last day is Saturday!), and then it's time to kick back for winter!

But this is not what I wanted to address. This blog is mainly about life as an ABCD (refer to my first post ever). So let's do it!

Oh FOBs, where for art thou? For a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Like I said, it's exam week. And I am seeing them everywhere! While this may sound somewhat unreal, I'm so thrilled because of this. Oh man, when I head to the library, it's like a garden, and instead of roses, there are FOBs everywhere. It's like a jungle. And I'm Mowgli. You walk by some of them, and it's a staring contest!

I was sitting there finishing up my reading for a class that day and right underneath page 274, I see a pair of black and brown lace up shoes approaching. There's a hole in the left one. Classy. As I continue to page 275, so do the shoes. Yet they immediately stop. Under page 275. I'm contemplating whether I should continue my reading and completely ignore this person who is so rudely taking up space in my peripheral vision, or if I should look up with my I'm-too-studious-to-notice-that-you-have-a-gaping-hole-in-your-shoe-and-it's-raining-outside look. I go for the latter. Putting my book down, my gaze slowly skims up his frame, those dead-grass-brown corduroy pants so vividly appealing. His sweater reminds me of Bill Cosby-- on steroids. As my gaze meets his, I notice he has been staring at me. This whole time. So I give him the look, and he continues to stare. For what purpose, I don't know. I initially think I have raisins in my teeth from lunch, but nope. A quick swipe of my tongue proves that I am A-Okay in that department. He continues this charade for another minute, and it takes every last drop of my will power not to pull my infamous Are-you-on-crack? face. He hesitates for a second, then decides that maybe he should go to class and attend the education he has paid thousands of dollars for.  As he leaves, I'm still too distracted to continue my reading, thinking "Really? Did that just happen?". I mean, someone with holes in their shoes and a combover with excessive oil in their hair, staring at me like that. Have I ever been so momentarily distracted by the attractive appeal of some guy, like that moment? I think not!

This is the FOBs I deal with. I love them though. While they don't act like the norm, their actions always surprise me. They spice up my boring life. And thus, this is a tribute to my FOBs.

Have you guys ever had any interesting moments with a FOB? Speak up! I miss hearing your voices.

My. First. Concert. Ever!

Hey my peeps! What's hangin'?

So recently I went to my very first concert! HOW EXCITING IS THAT? Well, let me start straight off the bat with: not the greatest experience, haha. You may wonder why I would say this about something as fun as my very first concert, but let me elaborate a little. It was an Indian concert, of course. This guy named PropheC came down from Canada, this small time singer trying to make it big. So I'm excited for this concert. I really am. I got ALL dressed up, oh gosh, it was fun! Then when we got there, he was only there for less than an hour! I was like, are you kidding me? YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE. Please don't leave. Well, anyway, he was pretty good. His songs are more R&B, but still legit.

But the dancing after was where most of the fun was! Woot! We tore up the dance floor! Well actually it was on stage, but man! It was good. I actually had to take my heels off to get going. Fun times.

Right now it's Thanksgiving here, so I am out of classes for the next 5 days. I'm sorry I didn't post for so long, guys! My computer was sent for repairs again because they didn't do it right the first time. THEN, they send it back and they wipe the hard-drive clean. So I have lost years of memories in photos. Sad story. But anyway, at least I can blog once again!

Who did you see for your very first concert? And has some repair guy ever wiped clean your computer hard-drive??

To Vlog or Not to Vlog? That is the Question.

Sorry I have been so MIA, lately. I know how much you all missed me (in my dreams, right?), haha. My computer was sent out to be repaired, and voila! Its back and I am loaded with stories. But first thing is first. Vlogging. I have been debating that for a while, recently. I mean, it's like blogging, but video! You all get to see me in person, and I can do so many more things! Oh man, this just sounds better and better each time I talk this out. But that doesn't mean I'll leave you guys behind. No sir, this blog will be my home base, and I can't leave my BFFs (YOU ----->). Also, vlogging would just be another way to express myself. Although, I'll have to make sure I don't overlap in content. And ohmygoodness! I can talk about everything there. It will be so much fun. I'm telling you, every week, you guys will feel like you are having an 8-10 minute party (8-10 hours if you keep my vlog on replay! Haha).

So what do you guys think? Should I go for it? Of course it will be hosted on YouTube, but is it a good idea? I need your input, guys! :)
